High Performance Multiwall Polycarbonate Sheet Identity
The Arla multiwall polycarbonate 16 mm clear sheet is a high-performance glazing material designed for demanding greenhouse environments. It features a robust 2500 g/m² construction with integrated UV protection on one side. This product is available in either 5-wall or 6-wall channel structures to ensure structural integrity. It is supplied as custom-cut panels to meet specific project requirements.
Solving Heat Loss in Greenhouse Environments
Greenhouses often suffer from significant heat loss during early spring and late autumn, which limits the growing season. Standard glazing materials frequently fail to maintain the stable temperatures required for sensitive crops in colder climates.
Our 16 mm multiwall polycarbonate provides an effective thermal barrier with a U-value of 2.0 W/m²*K. By retaining heat more efficiently than thinner alternatives, it allows growers to extend their cultivation period while protecting plants from temperature fluctuations.

Versatile Applications and Structural Compatibility
This polycarbonate is ideal for house-type greenhouses intended for use in cold or very cold climates. It is also highly effective for insulated terrace roofs and walkways where energy efficiency is a priority. Furthermore, the material is suitable for industrial glass roofs and various superstructures requiring long-lasting durability. We recommend using sealing tapes to protect the ends of the sheet channels during installation.
Important information
- 15-Year Warranty Includes a 15-year warranty against yellowing, ensuring high light transmission throughout this period.
- Cutting Tolerance The maximum allowable cutting deviation on the edges is 4 mm.
- Internal Structure The internal design (channels shape) of the sheets may vary based on stock levels, but the technical specs are identical. We never mix different structures in the same order to ensure a uniform look.
- UV Protection & Installation Polycarbonate sheets must be installed with the UV-protected side facing up (facing the outside) for the protection to work. The UV side is clearly marked on the protective film.
- Handle with Care Handle the sheets carefully to prevent scratches and damage.
- Storage Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
